Homework the Battle of Gate Pa

1. The battle was in 1864.
2. Heni Teke Karamu was the angle of Gate Pa.
3. Jane Fowley was her European  name.
4. Before the battle the women and children were told to leave.
5. The solders were laughing when they saw potatoes exploding into the air.
6. The shell that killed two men was thrown into the cooking room and exploded.
7. The solders ran out the gate because they thought they were all dead.
8. Jane gave water to all the solders that were injured. 
9. An artist drew Jane as a man on a painting.
10. Before the battle started they were having a parer service.

  1. Good post. Just check some of your spelling though. Also Heni Te Karamu is spelt wrong in your post. Overall I think you summarised the podcast quite well. Some of the facts aren't exactly right but you still did well listing your 10 facts.
